For House & Garden
Charlotte Moss's new house in the Hamptons may be on a quiet, dead-end street but she herself, most deginitely, is not. She's a woman whose engine never idles, whose conversation rarely stalls. A decorator with truly catholic tastes, she has developed a successful line of home furnishing products and decorative accessories, including a burning essence called Virginia. She also runs a shop on Madison Avenue and writes books (the latest looks at the evolution of rooms and is published next spring). Only here, within the walls and gardens of her house, Boxwood Terrace, does she occassionally come to rest. The name alludes to her Southern roots and those big, old, Southern trees planted out by the pool.
